Frame One Theatres (formerly, F.E.I. Theatres) is a family-owned company established in 1979. Frame One Theatres owns and operates two historic neighborhood theatres in the Boston, MA area: the Capitol Theatre in East Arlington, and the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square, Somerville.
Our company mission is to preserve these classic cinemas, and provide our valued audiences great entertainment and refreshments at reasonable prices. Over three-decades, since Frame One Theatres acquired the Capitol Theatre and the Somerville Theatre, we have undertaken major restorations of both venerable venues, so that generations of movie-goers can continue to experience the grandeur of a traditional movie house and enjoy a high-quality sound and visual experience.
Located at 204 Massachusetts Avenue, at the corner of Lake Street in East Arlington, Mass., the Capitol Theatre has served as a landmark since opening its doors in 1925. Today, with five screens of first-run features, modern seating, digital projection and sound, beer and wine, and the most affordably fresh popcorn on the planet, the Capitol continues the beloved Amercian tradition of the neighborhood movie-house. It is also home to the Capitol Creamery, a full-service ice cream parlor located on Lake Street and just off the theater lobby.VISIT THE WEBSITE

Along with the classic restored original auditorium, the Somerville also offers four modern auditoriums presenting the latest in first run movies, beer and wine, a regular schedule of live events and classic movie screenings. Home to one of the most technically advanced projection booths on the east coast, the Somerville can present virtually any film format - from the latest digital releases, to treasured archival 35mm and 70mm film prints.VISIT THE WEBSITE
